We are AATMIYA, a social enterprise aiming to provide employment opportunities to local Nepalese women through dignified, skill-based jobs: hand knitting and crocheting. We believe in creating an ethical manufacturing process, using local materials, and paying competitive wages.

We were founded in 2006 under CITTA to bring economic development to the local women of Bhaktapur, Nepal. We have since expanded into the artisan district of Lalitpur as a self-sufficient company supplying top-quality handmade goods to clients in the USA and Europe who desire to work with a women’s cooperative. We work with our clients to design products unique to their boutiques and brands. Our artisans can work with a wide range of products, from everyday goods to luxury items, and they love all challenges!
